Can I Get a Refund for the $0.99 Trial or a Doba Charge?

Refund questions usually become confusing when subscription billing and order refunds get mixed together. Doba treats those situations differently, so the first step is identifying what kind of charge you are looking at.

Quick answer: Doba's $0.99 trial fee is not refundable. If you do not want the paid subscription to continue, cancel before the trial ends. Order refunds follow a separate workflow through Purchase Orders and the Refund area.

Start by identifying the type of charge

Before you request a refund, determine whether the charge came from:

  • a trial or subscription charge
  • a renewal or plan change
  • an order placed through Doba

This matters because subscription billing and order refunds are handled in different places.

Refunds for the $0.99 trial

Doba's FAQ states that if you are not satisfied during the $0.99 trial period, you can cancel your subscription before the trial ends. However, the trial fee itself is not refunded.

That means:

  • you can stop the subscription from continuing
  • you should cancel before the trial ends if you do not want the paid plan
  • you should not expect the $0.99 trial charge itself to be refunded

What to check: If you see a small trial charge, confirm whether the trial period was still active or whether it already converted into a paid subscription.

Subscription charges are different from order refunds

If the charge was not the trial fee, the next question is whether it came from your subscription settings or from an order.

  • Subscription charges are managed through Pricing Plan
  • Order refunds are handled through Purchase Orders and the Refund workflow

If you are trying to understand a charge on your card, always separate those two paths first.

How order refunds work in Doba

Doba's User Guide explains that refund requests begin in Purchase Orders, where you can select Request Return.

From there, Doba shows two refund paths:

  • Refund without return: use this if the package was not received
  • Refund after return: use this if the package was received

If there is a product issue, the guide explains that supporting images may be required, including:

  • the outer box
  • the inner package
  • the shipping label

What to check: Make sure you choose the correct refund path based on whether the package was received.

How to track a refund request

If you already submitted a refund request, Doba's guide says you can review it from the refund page and filter by:

  • refund type
  • refund status
  • time period

Example statuses include:

  • Awaiting seller response
  • In Transit
  • Awaiting refund
  • Refunded
  • Closed
What to do next
  • If this was the $0.99 trial fee: do not expect a refund, but cancel before the trial ends if you do not want the paid plan.
  • If this was a subscription or renewal charge: review Pricing Plan to confirm whether it came from trial conversion, renewal, or a plan change.
  • If this was an order-related charge: use Purchase Orders and the Refund workflow to check or submit a refund request.
